Oransi v-hepa Max Air Purifier Review
The Oransi v-hepa Max air purifier uses a pre-filter and v-HEPA filter to remove pollen, dust, mold, pet dander and bacteria from the air. This air cleaner also has an activated carbon filter for the removal of light odors and gases. The user interface is easy to use and includes a countdown timer and filter replacement/clean indicator. The key benefits are that the air purifier is easy to use, has very high filter performance and is quiet for a HEPA air purifier. This purifier comes with a complete set of filters which will last for a year under normal conditions. This model also has a built-in air quality sensor and monitor which is nice however we found the display to not be as intuitive as we would like and we felt the performance of this sensor could be improved.

- Ease of Use Rating: 1.9 out of 2. The Oransi v-hepa Max air purifier is simple to set up and operate as it is ready to use out of the box. The power controls are very intuitive and access to the filter requires removal of the cover which has a spring lock to hold them in place. The pre-filter can be washed or vacuumed lightly to clean. As we have found with most other air purifiers, the units come with a complete set of air filters. We found the filters easy to replace.
- Air Flow: 1.8 out of 2. Based on our testing the v-hepa Max can effectively clean rooms up to the 600 sq ft range( 20’ x 30’). The noise level at the highest fan speed is louder than some users would want while in a bedroom however we found the air flow of the Max to be quite strong so it can effectively be run in a bedroom on the lower fan speed settings. This results in quieter performance than any other HEPA air purifiers we have tested. The noise level on high is 53 dB which is much quieter than the other HEPA based purifiers we have reviewed. On the lowest fan speed setting the Oransi was very quiet.
- Filter Efficiency: 2.9 out of 3. The Oransi v-hepa Max air purifier removed over 99% of the particles that were passing through the air purifier based on our particle counter. This places the Max air purifier among the top of all air purifiers tested.
- Consumer Feedback: 2.7 out of 3. In searching the web for customer reviews we found most reviewers purchased for bedroom use and were most interested in a high performance air purifier to remove allergens such as dust, pollen and mold. Many commented favorably on the included free filters and to date the majority have assigned a 5 star. Distribution seems to be focused on the Oransi site and through Amazon and specialty retailers. The performance, design and feature set of the air purifier get most of the attention with users commenting on the relatively quiet noise level for a HEPA air purifier and reasonable filter costs. We did find a comment on the noise level on the highest fan speed setting being a bit louder than the reviewer would have liked.
